Illegal marriage case: Bushra Bibi fails to appear in court
The court said that if Bushra Bibi is really ill, then she should attach the medical certificate along with the application.
Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi did not appear in the court in alleged illegal marriage case filed against the couple.
In the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad, Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the alleged illegal marriage case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, in which her lawyer Usman Gul appeared in the court.
Usman Gul told the court that Bushra Bibi is in Lahore and cannot appear, on this the court said that ex-chairman of PTI is in jail, his wife is not.
Bushra Bibi's lawyer Usman Gul said that his client will appear at the next hearing. The bail bonds are ready but could not be signed, set the time for hearing between 2-3pm and we are trying to make her appear.
The court said that if Bushra Bibi is really ill, then she should attach the medical certificate along with the application.
On this, the lawyer said that you and we also know the report that is to come. On this the judge spoke to Usman that he does not know, tell what report is to come, try to talk only about this case.
Lawyer Usman pleaded in the court that he has to come from Lahore to extend the date or hold the hearing after the holidays. On this, the court advised him to rent a house in Islamabad for some time as a hearing will be held before the holidays.
