Election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on January 13 and polling for the general elections will be held on February 08.

Submission of nomination papers for elections today

Lahore: The nominations of candidates for upcoming general elections in the country will be collected today (Wednesday).

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued nomination papers across the country yesterday, after which candidates from all over the country are receiving nomination papers to participate in the election.

To participate in the election, the candidates can get the papers from 8:30am to 4:30pm, while the process of submission of nomination papers will also start from today.

Candidates can submit their nomination papers from December 20 to 22 in the respective RO office after which the preliminary list of candidates will be released on December 23 while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from December 24 to 30.

Election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on January 13 and polling for the general elections will be held on February 08.

It is pertinent to note that earlier on yesterday, nomination papers were received for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from NA 194 Larkana, while nomination papers were collected from three constituencies for the head of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Jahangir Tareen.

The receipt and submission of nomination papers for the National and Provincial Assembly seats in the general elections 2024 in Karachi has started today.

Nomination papers will be issued for 22 seats of the National Assembly and 47 seats of the Provincial Assembly in Karachi. 69 Returning Officers and 7 DROs have been posted for National and Provincial Assembly in Karachi.
