Tosha Khana vehicles case: Court seeks report from NAB by Jan 4
The NAB prosecutor told the court that the investigation officer will appear in the court on the next hearing and will also submit a report.
Islamabad: The Accountability Court of Islamabad Wednesday heard the reference of Tosha Khana vehicles for which it sought a report from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) by January 4.
According to the details, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Basheer heard the Tosha Khana reference against former President Asif Ali Zaradri and former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Yusuf Raza Gilani among other accused.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Yusuf Raza Gilani did not appear due to being busy in the election campaign and sought exemption from attendance.
During the hearing, Nawaz Sharif's lawyer, Qazi Misbah Advocate, appealed that notice of the recovery be provided and looked at in the next hearing. There are six different petitions which should also be heard.
Lawyer Qazi Misbah said: “Nawaz Sharif has been involved in the investigation, in the light of the investigation, NAB had to submit a report today”.
On which the NAB prosecutor said that now the investigating officer needs time to submit the report as he has been transferred and the director has also been changed.
The NAB prosecutor told the court that the investigation officer will appear in the court on the next hearing and will also submit a report.
Responding to which the court asked him to submit the answer within four days. The NAB prosecutor replied that four days is not enough to submit the report.
The court sought a report from NAB by January 4.
