Hassaan Niazi's mother filed a petition in the LHC for permission to sign the nomination papers.


Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hassaan Niazi decided to contest the general elections 2024.
According to the details, Hassaan Niazi's mother filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for permission to sign the nomination papers, in which the federal, Punjab governments and the commanding officer have been made parties.
In the petition filed in the LHC, it was stated that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the election schedule, Hassaan Niazi is neither ineligible nor convicted, however he is currently in custody.
The petition appealed that the court should allow Hassaan to complete the process of submitting the nomination papers, and allow the Oath Commissioner to meet him to verify and sign the nomination papers.
