A heavy contingent of Punjab Police and RA Bazar police had reached Adiala Jail to arrest him.
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi Wednesday arrested by Rawalpindi Police from Adiala Jail.
According to the details, a heavy contingent of Punjab Police and RA Bazar police had reached Adiala Jail to arrest him.
He was taken into custody by the Punjab Police and left for an unknown location in an armored vehicle.
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was released on bail in the cypher case on Wednesday, but Rawalpindi police re-arrested him as he stepped out of the gate of Adiala Jail.
It is pertinent to note that the DC Rawalpindi had issued detention orders for Shah Mehmood Qureshi yesterday (Tuesday).
On the other hand, the video of theShah Mehmood Qureshi's arrest has also come out, in which police can be seen forcefully and quickly taking him away in an armored vehicle at the time of his arrest.
Media representatives were also present on this occasion, while talking to them, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said regarding his arrest, "It is illegal, it is illegal, it is cruelty and injustice".
