The Peshawar High Court granted bail to Zartaj Gul till January 13.


Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) issued a two-page short decision on the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul.
According to the details, the Peshawar High Court granted protective bail to Zartaj Gul and prevented the police from arresting her.
Chief Justice of PHC Muhammad Ibrahim Khan wrote in the judgment that Zartaj Gul was wanted by Gujranwala police in various sections including May 9 incidents. The petitioner was afraid of arrest in the listed cases.
In the written decision, it was said that the petitioner is not wanted by the Peshawar police in any case, and her bail has been granted against surety bond of Rs100,000.
According to the decision, the PTI leader Zartaj requested the court that she has no acquaintance in Peshawar, so I can deposit Rs50,000 only.
The Peshawar High Court granted bail to Zartaj Gul till January 13.
In the judgment, the court directed that she should appear before the relevant court by January 13. If she would fail to appear before January 13, the judgment will be ineffective.
