Lahore: Communication and Work (C&W) department increased the toll plaza rates by 30-100% in all over Punjab.
According to the details, the C&W has also issued the notification in this regard which will be applicable from February 1.
It has been stated that the tax of car or cabs has been increased from Rs20 to Rs30. The buses tax will cost Rs70 instead of Rs60. The minibus and wagon will pay Rs40 not Rs20, while Rs70 will be received from the truck.
The tractor trolleys used for the agriculture will pay Rs40 instead of Rs20, the vehicles used for commercial purposes will pay Rs70 now.
The C&W also told that millions of vehicles pass by these toll plazas daily for several purposes. The increase will make people suffer with a new financial burden.
