Polish Footballer Robert Lewandowski has made Bundesliga history after hitting his 41st goal of the season in Bayern Munich's final day showdown with Augsburg.

His big moment arrived in the 90th minute, with a typically composed finish seeing him re-write the history books and broke Gerd Muller's 49-year record of Bundesliga goals in a campaign.
The Poland striker now has 53 goals in 46 games for club and country heading into Euro 2020. The home side scored four times in the first half against Augsburg with Manuel Neuer also saving a penalty.
The striker took his shirt off in celebration before coming to the side of the pitch to embrace the departing flick. The only surprise was that it took so long for Lewandowski to make his historic contribution.
Bayern took the lead through Jeffrey Gouweleeuw's own goal and doubled their lead courtesy of Serge Gnabry's header from close range. He has now raised that bar higher than anyone before him, with the 32-year-old maintaining remarkable standards in record-breaking style.
Lewandowski's strike, his 48th of the season in all competitions, saw him edge above the mark set by Bayern legend Muller back in 1971-72. Lewandowski recorded a personal-best return of 55 efforts in 2019-20, as Bayern swept to treble glory in domestic and continental competition.
