Temperatures falls to -40 degrees in several US states

In most states of United States, the life system is affected due to the severity of the weather, while six people were killed and several injured in accidents at different places.

According to foreign media reports, about 10,000 domestic and foreign flights have been canceled or delayed from various airports, the number of canceled or delayed flights has reached 20,000 in the last three days.

In some states of the US, the temperature has dropped -20 to -40 degrees below normal, due to which 80 percent of the citizens of United States are forced to endure temperatures below the freezing point. Four people died in the state of Oregon, which is experiencing strong winds and snowfall, where 90 thousand citizens are without power.

One person was killed in a traffic accident in the state of Utah and up to four feet of snow fell in the state. In addition, one person was killed by an avalanche in the state of Wyoming.

Temperatures have dropped to -40 in the state of Montana due to cold winds, while in the state of Texas, where 246 people died due to storms in 2021, citizens are advised not to use electricity unnecessarily in order to maintain the supply.

The temperatures are also forecast to drop below freezing in some parts of the state of Florida.
