Punjab police chief says 19 politicians under security threats
IG Punjab said: “The current situation for the upcoming general elections 2024 is normal.”
Lahore: The IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that 19 politicians are under security threats in Punjab. He briefed the election commission’s officials in a session led by the chief election commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
In a conversation IG Punjab said: “Amid to the security reasons, I can’t reveal those politician’s name. We are facing a lack of 92,000 security forces in Punjab but despite of that the situation is normal for the upcoming general elections 2024.”
