The former president and PPP co-chairman says he never wished himself to go to the jai rather he went there for the sake of the party’s workers.


Lahore: Former President Asif Ali Zardari said that that they would ensure victory of Bilawal Bhuto Zardari and would make him the next prime minister.
“Our journey is quite long. We have been in the politics for last 40 years,” said Asif Ali Zardari while addressing a workers’ convention in NA-127—a constituency of the National Assembly from where PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is contesting elections.
Zardari who delivered a brief address said that he never wished to go to jail rather he went to jails for the sake of his party’s workers and supports.
“The PPP workers are confident that their leader will never bow before anyone,” said the PPP co-chairman. He also lauded the Punjab leadership of his party, saying that whenever they needed the whole leadership stood by their side and similarly the leadership of Punjab.
