Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday dismissed the petitions filed against approval of nomination papers of former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the details, Justice Farooq Haider of the LHC heard the petitions filed against the nomination papers during which decisions were pronounced on all the petitions filed against the decisions of the tribunals.
The citizen Shahid Karzai had filed applications against approval of nomination papaers of former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, which was returned by the bench over later submission.
Apart from this, a hearing was held on the petition against the rejection of the nomination papers for women's reserved seats, in which the court accepted the petitions against the rejection of the nomination papers of Amina Hussain of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) League and Shagufta Chaudhry of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
