It is to be noted that Pakistan withdrew its ambassador from Iran on January 17, 2024.


Islamabad: After the tense situation got better between Pakistan and Iran, the ambassadors of both the countries will presume their duties from January 26, 2024.
According to the details, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office stated that there was a meeting between the foreign minister of both the countries in which they have had a positive discussion.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office further said that the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will visit Pakistan on the invitation of caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani on January 29, 2024.
It is to be noted that Pakistan on January 17, 2024 withdrew its ambassador from Iran and announced that it would not allow the Iranian envoy visiting his home country at that time to return to protest at a ‘blatant breach’ of its sovereignty after Tehran said it launched missile attacks on militant bases in southwestern Pakistan.
