According to IG Punjab, heavy firing forced the terrorists to retreat and run away.


Lahore: The Punjab Police foiled the attempt of terrorists to enter Punjab from the inter-provincial border area.
Terrorists took advantage of the darkness of the night to attack the Jhangi border post, which was foiled.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar explained the details of the incident in a video message regarding the attack on the Jhangi check post and the police response.
IG Punjab said that the brave cops identified the terrorists with the help of advanced thermal image cameras, after which the police personnel took timely action.
According to IG Punjab, heavy firing forced the terrorists to retreat and run away.
Dr. Usman Anwar added that another team under the leadership of Station House Officer (SHO) Wahwa also reached the spot immediately for backup.
He further said: “The police teams are performing their duties day and night on high alert at all the border posts of the province”.
The officer continued to say that terrorists and brutal criminals will not be allowed to enter the province under any circumstances and every terrorist attack will be thwarted.
