Rawalpindi: Senior journalist and president of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) workers Pervaiz Shaukat passed away.
According to the details, the family members said that Pervaiz Shaukat died in Rawalpindi and the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered at Dhok Rata graveyard today (Friday) at 4 pm.
Pervaiz was associated with a newspaper and the he fought for the rights of journalists and media workers for almost 50 years.
The Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi expressed deep sorrow over the death of Pervaiz Shaukat and said that Pervaiz was a strong voice of journalists.
It is to be noted that Pervaiz's services for journalism and the welfare of journalists will always be remembered.
