Fahmida Mirza approaches court for election symbol
The court remarked that let's see what can be done.
Karachi: Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Fahmida Mirza approached the court for election symbol. She filed the petition in the Sindh High Court, took stand that she belongs to GDA and its symbol is star.
According to the details, the Election Commission is of the opinion that the period for allotment of marks has passed, GDA is being targeted for political revenge.
The Chief Justice Sindh High Court heard the petition of Fahmida Mirza, during which the he said that if many candidates did not get the marks, what can we do?
Chief Justice stated that we have heard and accepted the Election Petition but the Hyderabad Circuit Bench has the jurisdiction to hear the petition related to the symbol.
Fahmida’s lawyer Shahab Sarki said that this is an urgent matter, if an urgent hearing is not held, there will be irreparable damage.
