Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that Shahbaz Sharif's dinner held on Monday with Opposition party leaders had nothing to do with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Referring to the opposition leader’s dinner Maryam said, "He hosted the dinner as the leader of Opposition, as they had to devise a strategy for the budget session,"
Talking about ousting the Punjab CM, She said that no numbers are needed for a no-confidence motion in Punjab as the opposition has more people than the required numbers.
Asked by a journalist about Maryam's non-attendance at Shahbaz Sharif's dinner, she said, "Stop making everything suspicious. I am not a parliamentarian. Shahbaz Sharif is National Assembly’s opposition leader. He gave dinner to the parliamentarians, and I don't even need to be there where Shahbaz Sharif himself is present”.
"I support (former prime minister) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's decision to resign from the post of PDM general-secretary if PPP rejoins the alliance," she said, claiming Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N have the same position on the matter.
Responding to a question, she said that the government lied on GDP growth which even people are not ready to accept.
She said that after the testimony of Arshad Malik, and Shaukat Aziz all her cases should end as these are political cases and retaliatory action is being taken against her.
In response to a question, Maryam Nawaz said that if there is reverse engineering, it will be seen, but it has not been seen yet.
