Voters can vote on receipt of expired ID card or new ID token.


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to start free SMS service on 8300 ahead on January 29.
According to the details, the spokesperson of ECP Syed Nadeem Haider, Additional Director General Nighat Siddiqui and Project Director of Project Management Unit announced this service.
Election Commission officials stated that voters can find out the details of their polling stations and constituencies by texting their ID card number to 8300.
According to the Election Commission, the voters will be sent their voting details through SMS as soon as they will text to this number.
Officials further said that voters will have to bring their Country’s National Identity Card (CNIC) with them to the polling station to vote. Voters can vote on receipt of expired ID card or new ID card token.
