The Iranian media reported that no militant faction or group claimed responsibility for the heinous act so far. The assailants reportedly barged into homes in Saravan's outskirts, perpetrating the deadly assault. The reports said that three individuals sustained injuries during the gunfire. The deceased laborers were engaged in various workshops across Iran.
The authorities are working to bring the bodies and the injured back to Pakistan.
