The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of intermittent rain and snow in Murree and Galiyat from today till February 4.


Islamabad: The intensity of cold Wednesday increased due to rain and snowfall in different parts of the country.
The weather became cold due to rain in the federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi, while it rained in different areas of Lahore early in the morning, including Garhi Shahu, Mall Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Shimla Pahari, Baghbanpura, Mughalpura and Gawalmandi.
Mughalpura, railway station and lorry station were also surrounded by rain. Due to drizzle in various areas including Chuburji, Anarkali, Mazang, Chongi Amarsadhu, Gajjumata and Kahna, there was a significant reduction in fog.
Weather forecasters said that western winds are affecting the country and will continue till February 4. Intermittent rain will continue till February 4 in the provincial capital. The temperature is likely to go up to 12 degrees Celsius while the maximum is 14 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of intermittent rain and snow in Murree and Galiyat from today till February 4.
Due to rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the intensity of cold has increased. Snow have covered mountains in Shogran, Siri Paye and Makra Peak. Naran, Lake Saif-ul-Mulook, and Lulusar Lake have recorded four feet of snow.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain and snow will continue in the mountains for the next few days.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management (PDM), there will be rain in Murree, Galiyat, Swat and Kohistan. While landslides and snowfall can possibly lead to the closure of connecting roads. The tourists have been directed to be careful during snowfall and rain.
