Punjab Arms License Management System will allow the license to be delivered to the applicant's home.


Lahore: Under the leadership of Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, the Punjab government achieved another milestone by permanently eliminating corruption in the issue of arms licenses. Now the license for weapons will be available online.
An agreement on ‘The Punjab Arms License Management System (PALMS)’ was signed between the Punjab Home Department and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi formally inaugurated ‘The Punjab Arms License Management System’ portal.
Under the PALMS, arms licenses can be renewed and amended across Punjab, while the transfer of arms licenses to heirs will also be done online.

Mohsin Naqvi said that with the implementation of this system, it will be possible to completely eliminate corruption in the issuance of licenses.
Chief Minister appreciated the services of Home Secretary Mian Shakeel Ahmed and Additional Secretary Home (Judicial) Department Farwa Aamir for launching ‘The Punjab Arms License Management System’.
Mohsin Naqvi described the issuance of arms license under the automatic system as commendable.
The agreement in this regard was signed by the Interior Secretary, Government of Punjab and Director General (DG) NADRA. Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General NADRA Sohail Jahangir, Director Arms NADRA and related officials were also present on the occasion.
