Dubai: Babar Azam, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, on Wednesday maintained his top position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) One Day International (ODI) rankings.
The ICC unveiled the latest rankings for Test, ODI, and T20 players.
In the ODI player rankings, Babar Azam continues to lead the pack, followed by India's Shubman Gill in second place, and Virat Kohli from India in third. Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand has climbed to fifth place.
Among ODI bowlers, South Africa's Keshav Maharaj remains in the top spot, with Australia's Josh Hazlewood in second place, and Australia's Adam Zampa moving up to third.
Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan maintains his position as the top-ranked ODI all-rounder.
In T20 player rankings, India's Suryakumar Yadav holds onto the top spot, followed by England's Philip Salt in second, and Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan in third. Babar Azam secures fourth place.
For T20 bowlers, England's Adil Rashid leads the rankings, while Pakistan's Haris Rauf is placed 20th. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh retains the top position among T20 all-rounders.
In Test player rankings, Kane Williamson of New Zealand remains at the summit, with Australia's Steve Smith advancing to second place, and England's Joe Root slipping to third.
Babar Azam of Pakistan is ranked fifth in Test cricket, followed by Australia's Usman Khawaja in sixth.
India's Jasprit Bumrah claims the top spot among Test bowlers, while Ravichandran Ashwin of India moves down to third place.
Ravindra Jadeja of India holds the first position among Test all-rounders, with no Pakistani player making it to the top ten.
