Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has congratulated the entire nation on the successful completion of the polling process for general elections 2024.
In a policy statement this evening, he said the nation has witnessed another historic event in the democratic journey.
The Minister said people across Pakistan participated in the electoral process in large numbers, demonstrating their commitment to democracy, their national responsibility and belief in the power of the vote.
He said this enthusiastic turnout is not only a testament of the strength of our democracy but also marks a significant milestone in our nation's history.
Expressing gratitude to all those who played a pivotal role in this democratic exercise, Murtaza Solangi said the smooth conduct of these elections is attributed to the collective efforts of multiple stakeholders.
He extended special thanks to the international media, observers, local media and journalists in the field. The Minister said their presence and coverage have been instrumental in ensuring transparency and credibility, shining a light on the integrity on electoral process at global stage.
He also expressed his deep gratitude to the armed forces, civil armed forces, law enforcement agencies and civil administration for their unwavering commitment and diligence in providing safe and secure arrangements for the electoral process. The Minister said their dedication ensured that the polling process was conducted smoothly and without any significant incident, allowing every citizen to exercise their right to vote in peace and safety.
Furthermore, the Minister extended appreciation to the Election Commission of Pakistan for the exemplary conduct and management of the electoral process.
