Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Thursday emerged victorious from Lahore's constituency PP-159 of Punjab Assembly, as per the unofficial results.
Maryam Nawaz clinched success with an impressive tally of 23,598 votes, reaffirming the PML-N's stronghold in the region.
Trailing behind, independent candidate Mehr Shafqat secured the second position with 21,491 votes, marking a closely contested electoral battle.
The election day witnessed a massive turnout as hundreds and thousands of voters came out to exercise their power to vote. The polling stations across the nation remained active from 8 AM to 5 PM on Thursday, reflecting the nation's commitment to the democratic process.
