Mehnaz Akbar Aziz and his son Mikal Aziz have been detained from Returning Officer (RO) office in Zafarwal.


Former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Mehnaz Akbar Aziz, wife of senior political leader, independent candidate of Election 2024, Daniyal Aziz, has been detained, reportedly.
According to the police officials, Mehnaz Akbar Aziz and his son Mikal Aziz have been detained from Returning Officer (RO) office in Zafarwal.
Earlier, Mehnaz Akbar Aziz claimed that Daniyal Aziz had won with a clear margin, the results of 75 polling stations of NA-75 are not available.
Wife of Daniyal Aziz had stated that RO says that the staff has not arrived with the equipment, how can we give the results. The RO says that the results of 75 polling stations have not arrived yet.
It is pertinent to note that last day Shakargarh police arrested independent candidate Daniyal Aziz from NA-75 and transferred him to an unknown location.
Daniyal Aziz was stopped at a police check-post and forced into the car and subjected to torture.
It is pertinent to note that Daniyal Aziz has been a member of the National Assembly on behalf of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), but he decided to contest the independent election after not getting a ticket from the party in the 2024 election.
