Punjab govt launches ‘Service at your doorstep’ programme to facilitate public
Lahore: The Punjab Government has decided to start ‘Khidmat Apki Dehleez Par’ (Service at Your Doorstep) program from Thursday (today).

Under the newly introduced programme, government departments will accomplish specific tasks, to their assigned duties.
The program will be comprising over three weeks.First week will be observed as ‘Hafta-e-Safai (cleaning week)’, second as ‘Nakasi-e-Aab (drainage cleaning)’ and third as ‘Safai Suthrai (cleanliness)’ of public buildings.
First week, the cleaning week will be a campaign to remove garbage, solid waste management, repair of street lights and wall chalking.
Under the zero-waste campaign, the Waste Management Company would remove all the waste and debris from the city and carry out special cleaning of highways.
In this regard, the Punjab Information Technology Board had developed an App to monitor field activities. Citizens can download the app from play store.
After the completion of first phase, in second week drainage, manholes, public toilets will be cleaned thoroughly.
In the last week, the main task would be cleaning of government buildings, offices, whitewash, parks and beautification of green belts.
The departments will be given tasks, according to public needs, and third-party feedback, as well as of the public sector institutions, will be collected.
In this regard, the Punjab Information Technology Board had developed an App to monitor field activities.
Through app, public feedback will be directly collected about the targets that are assigned every week.
Moreover, the performance of the departments would be reviewed on weekly basis.
In addition, a special control room would be set up for receiving citizens’ complaints about cleanliness.
