Candidate Rehana Dar has requested the court to prevent the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from releasing the final result.


Sialkot: Independent candidate Rehana Imtiaz Dar Saturday challenged the results of National Assembly Constituency NA-71 Sialkot.
According to the details, Rehana Dar filed an application in the Lahore High Court (LHC) in which she adopted the stand that according to Form-45, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Khawaja Asif has lost.
It has been stated in the petition that Khawaja Asif declared himself the winner in Form-47 by collusion, however they have the results of Form-45.
Candidate Rehana Dar has requested the court to prevent the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from releasing the final result.
It is pertinent to note that according to the unofficial and inconclusive results of 358 polling stations of Constituency NA-71 Sialkot-II, Khawaja Muhammad Asif of Pakistan Muslim League (N) has won by getting 11,8566 votes while independent candidate Rehana Imtiaz Dar got second place by getting 100,272 votes.
