PTI takes oaths from newly elected independent members
The affidavit of PTI-backed independent candidate Shahid Khattak has also come out.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has prepared a strategy to keep the independent candidates united. It has been decided to take oath from the successful independent candidates.
According to the details, the affidavit of PTI-backed independent candidate Shahid Khattak has also come out.
It is also reported that newly elected Member of National Assembly (MNA) Shahid Khattak from NA-38 Kirk submitted the affidavit to the party.
Shahid wrote in the affidavit that he will not join any party including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) but will join the party as per the instructions of former Chairman PTI Imran Khan and will always remain loyal to him.
It is pertinent to note that Wasim Qadir, the PTI backed successful independent from NA-121, on Sunday officially joined PML-N. He is the first independent candidate who announced his joining with the PML-N.
Taking to X, PML-N shared the picture of Wasim Qadir with party’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz.
Speaking on the occasion, Waseem Qadir expressed his confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, stating that he is joining the PML-N based on consultations with the people and friends in the constituency.
It is pertinent to note that Waseem Qadir previously served as the General Secretary of PTI in Lahore. He had contested from Lahore's NA-121 constituency as a PTI-backed candidate and defeated PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar.
