Sialkot: The leader of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Firdous Ashiq Awan, apologized in writing regarding slapping a policeman.
According to the details, a two-member bench of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the case of slapping a policeman against former Federal Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan.
Firdous Ashiq Awan submitted a written reply to the Election Commission while a written reply was also submitted on behalf of the slapped police officer.
The bench said that the Election Commission will issue the order for today's hearing later.
Member Sindh Nisar Durrani asked Firdous Ashiq Awan that who is she to take the law in hand. To which Firdous replied: “There were 381 polling stations in my constituency and this incident did not take place in any of them. Fake votes were being cast in that polling station and the environment was suspicious”.

Member Sindh Nisar Durrani stated, ‘We did not expect slapping from you’. Later, Firdous Ashiq Awan apologized in writing regarding the slapping.
It is pertinent to note that earlier on February 8, Firdous Ashiq Awan slapped a policeman on duty at the polling station of Government High School Gana Kalan in NA-70 Sialkot, the video of which went viral on social media.
