Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to form a government in Balochistan together with its allies.
The newly elected members of the Provincial Assembly of the PPP from Balochistan held a meeting at the residence of Sarfraz Bugti in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the newly elected Member of Balochistan Assembly Sadiq Imrani said that people have given them the majority, so it is their right to form the government.
Sadiq Imrani further said: “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will join our alliance in Balochistan, the party leadership nominated by the Chief Minister will be accepted by all of us”.
It is pertinent to note that in the elections held on February 8, 11 out of 51 seats of the Balochistan Assembly were won by the PPP and Jamat-e-Ulema Islami (JUI) each while the PML-N was successful in scoring 10 seats. Six seats were won by independent candidates while four were managed by Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and three by Awami National Party (ANP).
