LHC directs to merge pleas amid withdrawal elections symbol

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed to merge all the application regarding withdrawal of elections symbols from the political parties.
According to the details, a two-member bench heard this case headed by justice Ali Baqir Najfi.
Ali Baqir inquired that shouldn’t the intra-party elections done in political parties.
Applicant’s lawyer stated that the intra-party elections should be held for sure but the election commission cannot take the electoral symbols from any party.
Election act is made by all of the political parties, Justice Ali Baqir said.
Lawyer replied that election commission can impose fine on any political party if the party does not held the intra-party elections.
Baqir further said that there is no such party came to LHC which has that kind of case.
