Aun Chaudhry won the election from NA-128 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidate Salman Akram Raja.
Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) restored the notification of the victory of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Aun Chaudhry from the national assembly’s constituency of NA-128.
According to the details, Aun Chaudhry won the election from NA-128 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidate Salman Akram Raja.
It is pertinent to note that Lahore High Court (LHC) had prevented the results proceeding regarding Form-47 in NA-128 immediately after the general elections held on February 8. Salman Akram Raja had challenged the results of NA-128 in LHC. On which the court said that the relevent forum for the appeal is ECP. And over consulting the Commission, they had suspended the notification of IPP laeder's victory.
On the other hand, independent candidate Muhammad Arqam Khan’s victory notification of Punjab Assembly seat PP-68 from the constituency of Gujranwala has been suspended.
