ASF thwarts smuggling of foreign currency
According to the details, a passenger was going from Karachi to Bangkok having 160,00,00,0Rs million with him.
Karachi: Airport Security forces’(ASF) staff has thwarted smuggling of foreign currency, gold and local currency of more than 10Rs million from Karachi airport.
According to the details, a passenger was going from Karachi to Bangkok having 160,00,00,0Rs million with him. The ASF has got the money from the passenger named Imran Gill Awan.
Imran Gill was hiding the 251 grams of gold and foreign currency in his bag. The foreign currency includes American dollars, Hong Kong dollars, Yuan and Rial.
Spokesperson of ASF stated that the staff checked the passengers’ luggage amid being suspicious then got the currency and gold from the bag.
The accused is arrested by the Customs’ officials after the initial investigation by the ASF.
