JUI-F chief announces boycott of presidential elections
Maulana Fazlur Rehman affirms that their participation will be limited to the sitting in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, emphasizing upon nonviolent means.
Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced to boycott of the upcoming presidential elections.
Maulana Fazl affirmed that their participation would be limited to the sitting in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. He emphasized upon nonviolent means.
He expressed these words while talking to the reporters on Tuesday.
The JUI-F chief also highlighted that the decision regarding future actions would be determined by the parliamentary committee. He asserted that the outcome of the election campaign would reveal the winners and losers, with power dynamics shifting in households and elections.
Besides it, Rehman expressed skepticism about the capabilities of certain individuals to govern the country effectively. He stressed the necessity for improved governance across all sectors.
