Officials issues statement regarding prisoner’s murder in Adiala

Islamabad: The jail authorities has issued a statement regarding prisoner’s murder in Adiala jail.

According to the details, the murder’s matter took place in mental patients’ cell number eight. The imprisoned Ahsan dogged out the wall from a water mug and take out a brick and attacked on other mental patients.

It is stated in the officials’ statement that in this attack the sleeping prisoners injured badly. Ejaz Rabbani, Shiraz and Hammad are included in that injured prisoners.

Officials said that all injured prisoners have transferred to pims hospital. Injured Ejaz during treatment passed away in hospital.

Jail officials further said that Inspector General’s (IG) Jail has ordered an inquiry and District Inspector General (DIG) jail Rawalpindi is investigating the incident.
