Karachi: In a thrilling encounter at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday night, Quetta Gladiators secured a five-wicket victory over Karachi Kings in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators restricted Karachi Kings to a total of 166 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
James Vince top-scored for the Kings with 37 runs, while Abrar Ahmed claimed three wickets for the Gladiators.
Chasing the target, the Gladiators faced a tough challenge but managed to achieve victory with just one run needed off the final ball. Despite facing setbacks, Karachi Kings put up a commendable fight. However, stellar performances by Jason Roy, who scored 50 runs, and Sherfane Rutherford, who contributed 58 runs, guided the Gladiators to victory by five wickets.
