Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday announced by-elections for vacant seats in the Senate.
According to the announcement, the Election Commission has announced the schedule of elections for six vacant seats of the Senate which will be held on March 14.
The Election Commission announcement stated that the nomination papers for election on six vacant seats can be obtained on March 2 and 3.
It is pertinent to note that six seats were declared vacant when the members of the Senate were elected as members of other houses. Elections will be held on one vacant seat in Islamabad, two in Sindh and three vacant seats in Balochistan.
On the other hand, the ECP has prepared the proposed schedule of the Senate elections which will be released after the approval.
