The issues arose around 19:45am PST and are affecting both the apps and websites of these social media platforms. Users may find their passwords rejected, leading to automatic logouts from Facebook.
An error message indicating an expired login is appearing, and attempts to log in after the outage are being met with credential rejections.
Reports on Down Detector surpassed 300,000 since the initial outage, with Twitter and other platforms flooded with similar reports of service disruption.
The outage has impacted Instagram, Messenger, and Threads, with users encountering error messages on their Instagram News Feed.
