Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that seven senators have been elected as members of assemblies in the general elections.

In the post, the Election Commission stated that Sadiq Sanjrani, Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Yusuf Raza Gilani and Sarfraz Bugti have been elected members of the Assembly.
The ECP added in the post that Nisar Khoro, Jam Mehtab, Shehzada Ahmed Umar Zaib have also been elected members of the Assembly.
In the post, the ECP continued to say that Sadiq Sanjrani has been elected as a member of the Balochistan Assembly from PB-32 Chaghi.
The Election Commission has further stated in the post that according to the constitution, if a member of the Senate is elected as a member of any assembly, his seat in the Senate will become vacant.
In the post, the Election Commission of Pakistan has also said that the Senate Secretariat should take necessary steps for progress in this regard.
