She continued to say that people do not see the struggle of every woman, harassment of women is my red line.
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Friday said that women's day is not just one, every day is women's day and she wants women chief minister in other provinces as well.
Addressing the ceremony held in connection with the International Women's Day at a local hotel in Lahore, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz stated that she is very happy to be there and will not deliver any traditional speech.
She added: ‘We have a women's development department, the woman who serves the whole house is our hero, all three of whom I came with were pilot officers, I want people to see women officers’.
The Chief Minister congratulated Inspector General (IG) Punjab that women's desks have been set up in police stations. She asked for a police uniform to make a visit wearing it.
Maryam praised Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Amara Athar, “I too had to work hard for 13 years to make my place. All the women officers here are role models for the people. We have created a safety app ‘Never Again’. I have been in death cell, I have been trained, for which I am grateful to the opponents.”
She continued to say that people do not see the struggle of every woman, harassment of women is my red line. I wish that if any girl wants to work or study, she should do it.
