The daughter of former foreign minister says despite winning the February 8 polls based on public support, the integrity of the electoral process was compromised through manipulation and rigging.
Multan: Meher Bano Qureshi, a prominent member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said that she would approach the Supreme Court if the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) failed to investigate allegations of electoral fraud and ensure justice.
In a statement posted on PTI's official Twitter account, Meher Bano, daughter of former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said that despite winning the February 8 polls based on public support, the integrity of the electoral process was compromised through manipulation and rigging.
Addressing party supporters in Multan, Meher Bano reaffirmed the PTI's commitment to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and pursue justice.
Meher Bano Qureshi lost the NA-151 constituency seat in Multan with 71,649 votes, while PPP's Syed Ali Musa Gilani emerged victorious with 79,080 votes.
