Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari Tuesday said that measures are being taken to control hoarding.
While giving a press conference in Lahore, Information Minister Punjab Azma Bokhari stated that they are delivering help to the doorsteps of the people with the ‘Ramadan Nigehban Package’, reaching 6.4 million families is a big task of its kind, instead of false propaganda on social media, the reality should be seen.
She added that in Ramadan, the rest of the devils are imprisoned and the hoarders are freed. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has issued strict orders against hoarding, till now the hoarders have been fined millions of rupees.
The provincial minister continued to say that magistrates have been trained against hoarding, the chief minister has also activated a helpline which she is monitoring herself.
Azma further said that the Punjab government will have to keep an eye on price control. Those who have stock will have to share with the government, artificial shortage of flour will not be allowed to increase the prices.
The provincial information minister further stated that strict action will be taken against whoever did not display the rate list, a separate dashboard of price control magistrates has been made, Chief Minister is monitoring the magistrates herself.
This is a unique program in the 76-year history of Pakistan. A new survey is going to be started in three months at the level of Punjab. After which, the right of the original beneficiaries will be available at their doorstep. If the Punjab government gives any subsidy, it will be according to this program. There are still millions of families who should have received this ‘Ramadan Nigehban Package’.
