Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Wednesday said that the meetings were not banned only for Adiala Jail, but Mianwali and Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan jails are also being audited.
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Attarar, while holding a press conference, stated that Bloomberg has quoted the prime minister as saying that he has good experience in dealing with international financial institutions, some elements are harming the state for the sake of their politics.
He added that if they want to cause damage for the sake of political purposes, then it is their crude imagination. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) made a program to influence the International Monetray Fund (IMF) deal before also.
Atta Tarar continued to say that PTI founder Imran Khan tried to make the country default. He tried to stop investment coming here. Shehbaz Sharif decided negotiations out of personal interest and the country was saved. PTI left no stone unturned in defaulting the country.
The Federal Minister further said that the spokesperson of PTI said that they have received an instruction from the jail to write a letter to the IMF. The protection of the state of Pakistan and the national interest is our first responsibility, steps are being taken to fix the economy.
Prime Minister holds three to four meetings every day only for the restoration of the economy. A political party does not see anything beyond itself, they have no interest in the restoration of the economy, he added.
Tarar further stated: “By contacting the European Union, they are asking to take GSP plus status from Pakistan. If the status is there, the rupee will be stable. They want the rupee not to be stable in Pakistan, nor the export. They want industry to stop working”.
The federal minister also said that the meeting was not banned only for Adiala Jail, security audit of Adiala, Mianwali and DG Khan Jails is being conducted.
He further added, ‘These are the same people who did the tragedies of May 9 and burnt Quaid-e-Azam's residence. They say IMF should not give loan to Pakistan, we say let's move the country forward together. Atta said that it is a clear lie that facilities are not being provided in the jail, such facilities are not available to any prisoner as of founder PTI. If he wants more facilities, then should approach the courts.
The federal minister further continued that the Punjab government is conducting a security audit of three jails, Imran Khan should be patient, he was punished in Toshakhana, Cypher and other cases.
