The KPK chief minister says PM Shehbaz Sharif had pledged full support and emphasized his commitment to delivering on promises without deception.

Islamabad: In a significant political development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of the rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
During a press conference alongside Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, the KP chief minister described his first encounter with PM Shehbaz Sharif as 'positive', highlighting discussions on public and provincial issues, law and order, among other matters.
CM Ali Amin Gandapur expressed satisfaction with the meeting, stating that PM Shehbaz Sharif had pledged full support, emphasizing his commitment to delivering on promises without deception.
He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between federal and provincial governments to address public issues effectively, advocating for political engagement as a means to achieve solutions.
Furthermore, Gandapur urged PM Shehbaz Sharif to facilitate a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, particularly in the context of consultations for the Senate election.
Regarding PTI founder Imran Khan's letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the chief minister clarified that their party's stance was not aimed at obstructing funds for Pakistan but rather investigating alleged election rigging.
In response, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal echoed positivity from the talks, noting the prime minister's assurance regarding the fulfillment of the province's dues by the federal government. He mentioned instructions from the premier to address difficulties faced by people in KP during suhoor and iftar.
It's worth mentioning that the Punjab government had previously barred KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from visiting PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail, citing security concerns.
The restriction was communicated to the KP government through a letter, highlighting heightened security measures in various prisons including Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan and Mianwali.
