Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Friday asked for a plan to promote investment in the province.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, adviser Parvez Rasheed, provincial industry minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, chief secretary, chairman P&D, finance secretary, industry secretary and other relevant officials participated.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Punjab was briefed on the project of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, while Maryam Nawaz asked for a plan to promote investment in Punjab and directed to identify the industrial sectors by determining the needs of the market.
Addressing the meeting, she also ordered sector wise mapping to provide safe investment opportunities to the investors.
Chief Minister stated that the data of the existing industries in Punjab and the data of the future industry should also be compiled, all kinds of convenience and ease should be provided to the investors.
Maryam Nawaz further said that the era of political instability has ended, the government is fully committed to promoting investment.
