Akbar S. Babar's demands investigation into PTI’s secret foreign bank accounts
Akbar S. Babar continued to write that despite the evidence of illegal foreign funding of PTI, it is disturbing that no legal action has been taken.
Islamabad: Akbar S. Babar, founder member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), demanded an investigation into all secret foreign bank accounts of PTI.
Akbar S. Babar wrote an official letter to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and also sent a copy of this letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In a letter written to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, PTI founder member Akbar S. Babar said that it has been 20 months since the decision of PTI foreign funding case but no implementation has been done so far.
Akbar S. Babar stated that legal action related to foreign bank accounts has not been taken despite the identification, it is not impossible that these foreign secret bank accounts are used in anti-national activities, full legal action has not come out which is disturbing.
He further wrote in the letter that all aspects of the foreign funding case judgment of August 2, 2022 should be implemented, opening bank accounts of a political party abroad and keeping it secret is a crime.
Akbar S. Babar continued to write that despite the evidence of illegal foreign funding of PTI, it is disturbing that no legal action has been taken. By using the accounts, the reputation of the country is being damaged.
