Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has decided to crack down against electricity and gas thieves across the country.
An important meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in which Interior Secretary, Additional Director Generals (DGs) and Directors of all regions of Pakistan participated.
In the meeting, the progress on the orders issued on the occasion of Interior Minister’s visit to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters last week was reviewed.
During the meeting, the Federal Interior Minister assigned a special task to FIA while directing strict legal action against those involved in electricity and gas theft.
Following the direction of Mohsin Naqvi, special teams were formed to crack down on electricity and gas thieves.
On this occasion, FIA officials presented a detailed report of the Greek boat accident to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Mohsin Naqvi said that all the elements involved in this tragedy must be brought to justice, action must be taken against all the elements involved in human trafficking so that this scourge can be solved.
The meeting also reviewed the progress on the pending promotions of FIA officials. The Interior Minister directed to dispose of the pending promotion cases at the earliest and said that all the pending promotion cases should be disposed of within a fixed period of one month.
