Army Chief meets PM Shehbaz
The meeting took place before the apex committee meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Islamabad: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reportedly.
According to the media reports, the meeting took place before the apex committee meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
During the meeting, Army Chief took the Prime Minister into confidence regarding his visit to Saudi Arabia. Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction on Pak-Saudi relations, reportedly.
It is pertinent to note that a meeting of the Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Senior military officials also attended the meeting while Army Chief General Asim Munir specially attended the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing said that SIFC is an important platform which will be continued. The apex committee of SIFC also worked effectively and efficiently in the caretaker government.
He said that this platform is very important for economic development and foreign investment. It is welcome and necessary for everyone to come together to deal with economic challenges. Military leadership has done extraordinary work in the success of this platform and promotion of foreign investment.
