The court suspended the punishment of DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz, SSP Operations Jameel Zafar and SHO in contempt of court case.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday suspended the sentence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Jameel Zafar and Station House Officer (SHO) in the contempt of court case.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb issued the order on the intra-court appeal of DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations and Station House Officer (SHO).
The court has suspended the sentence of the three petitioners in the contempt of court case till May 7 and directed to fix May 7 for appeal hearing.
It is pertinent to note that Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court had sentenced the three officers in the contempt of court case on March 1.
