Islamabad: US Ambassador Donald Blome called on Minister for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik in Islamabad on Friday.
The ambassador extended congratulations to Dr. Musadik Malik on assuming the charge and expressed high hopes for transformation of Pakistan's energy sector.
They discussed the potential areas of cooperation, including technology transfer, investment opportunities, and capacity building initiatives in the energy sector and regional projects.
They also deliberated upon ways and means to promote sustainable carbon friendly footprint, renewables, green hydrogen.
The Minister reaffirmed that together both countries could achieve the shared energy goals.
Highlighting Pakistan's commitment to foster stronger ties with the United States, he apprised the ambassador of Pakistan's vast potential in the energy sector and minerals sector.
The US Ambassador informed the Minster that a high-level economic dialogue is scheduled to be held in April in Washington where energy related matters including minerals would take the center stage.
